Every year, MAEMT selects an EMS provider to receive the “Practitioner of the Year Award”. The recipients listed below exemplify clinical excellence, impeccable service to their community and dedication to the Emergency Medical Services profession. 

2026 honoree Andrew Graves has 40 years of experience in EMS where he is a paramedic and dispatcher. At Medstar who is known for going above and beyond in his work. He blends his clinical experience with a genuine compassion for the patients that both he, and his agency serve. Whether he is directing resources during a peak on his shift, or setting a positive tone over the radio, he elevates the entire operation. His team says he represents the absolute best of our mission at the MAEMT, and the critical role that everyone on the team plays in emergency services.
